about

A unique album in Louis Philippe's discography: a collection of songs written by French composer Francis Poulenc (1899-1963), recorded with long-time collaborator, pianist Danny Manners, also an admirer of Poulenc's work. This album was recorded live in the studio and mastered from unedited tapes. 'Nusch' is a very rare example of a 'pop' singer interpreting a classical composer's works with absolute respect being paid to the original score, and drew the praise of celebrated tenor Robert Tear at the time of its release.
