about

Louis Philippe had been a regular collaborator of Young Marble Giants and The Gist! leader Stuart Moxham since the early 1990s, both on stage and in the recording studio, when the duo decided to record an album in which Stuart would provide the original material and sing the lead, whilst Louis would arrange it and provide backing vocals. The recording took place over a number of years at Ken Brake's Regal Lane Studio in Primrose Hill, London and was followed by a number of live duo appearances, both in the UK and abroad. The two musicians got together again to produce 'The Devil Laughs' (tinyGLOBAL Productions), which was released in April 2020.
